Problem
At the start of my internship, the main concern was increasing social media reach to recruit more officers and increasing engagement.
Solution
During my 3 month internship, with my assistance with content creation and social media strategy, and our coverage on DCS officer efforts after Hurricane Helene, we were able to increase post engagement across LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube by 15.23%.
Hurricane Helene Responses Posts
We decided to run a series of posts to Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter that shows DCS officers at work in affected areas of Macon, Augusta, and other affected areas of south Georgia.

Posting Schedule. We aimed for an average of 5 days a week for social media posting depending on the events happening including Basic Graduation, conferences, and officer promotions, awards, and features.
